According to latest customs data, USA flat steel exports which includes (7208 HR coils/Plates,7209 CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets witness the growth of 24% Y-o-Y basis in Oct’17.Nation has exported 0.46 MnT of flat steel in Oct’17 against 0.37 MnT in Oct’16.
On monthly basis, nation’s flat steel exports moved down marginally by 4% in Oct’17 against 0.48 MnT in Sep’17.
During first ten months of CY17 (Jan-Oct’17) nation’s flat steel exports surged by 24% to 4.72 MnT against 3.8 MnT in similar time-span of CY16.

Mexico was the largest flat steel importer from USA in Jan-Oct’17– Mexico was the major flat steel importer from USA and has accounted for 47.79% of share (2.25 MnT) during the period of Jan-Oct’17.Other countries include Canada with 45.66% of share (2.15 MnT) and 0.98% of share was of India (0.05 MnT) in Jan-Oct’17.
However in the month of Oct’17 USA has exported 0.24 MnT of flat steel to Mexico similar to previous month’s export volumes followed by Canada at 0.20 MnT and India at 0.01 MnT.
