Deputy of Marketing and Sales of Esfahan steel announced the company’s plan to export rebar to Europe.
Deputy of Marketing and Sales of Esfahan steel, Mr. Ehsan Dashtyaneh, in an interview with the Minews, said “Esfahan Steel Company is currently negotiating to export its rebar products to European markets, but this export has not yet been finalized”.
Referring to CARES certification which is mandatory to export construction steel in GCC, UK and Africa, Mr. Dashtyaneh said “by obtaining the CARES certificate, export of Esfahan Steel in European markets and Arab countries of the Persian Gulf has started.”
He continued “We have been exporting steel to European markets such as the Netherlands and Belgium in the past years but starting this year after obtaining CARES certificate, we have also been able to export steel fittings.”
Referring to ESCO goal of increasing export to more 1 MnT in current Persian year, he said “The export program is not yet specified for the year to come, but we are very hopeful that the export program of this year will be realized and export will increase to more than 1 MnT”.
CARES Certification: CARES is an independent, not-for-profit certification body, established in 1983 to provide confidence to the users, purchasers and specifiers of constructional steels through a regime of regulation, testing and inspection. It operates for the benefit of the construction industry offering certification schemes for companies that produce materials, components or offer services, primarily to the reinforced concrete industry.
This certificate is very much needed if the manufacture intends to export steel to Europe and some Arab countries in Persian Gulf.
