Russia: Ferro Alloy Imports Up by 11% M-o-M in Sep’17

According to the Russian customs, the country has witnessed an increase of 11% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy imports.

In Sep’17, Russia imported a total of 0.21 MnT Ferro Alloys against 0.19 MnT in Aug’17. Moreover, on yearly basis, there has been an increase in its imports by 75% Y-o-Y against 0.12 MnT in Sep’16.

In Sep’17, Russia imported 0.12 MnT of Manganese Ore, 0.08 MnT Chrome Ore, and 0.01 MnT Silico Manganese. Russia registered a substantial increase of 20% M-o-M in Manganese Ore imports, whereas, no change was recorded in import volume of other Ferro Alloy commodities.

Russia imported from only two countries in Sep’17 with Kazakhstan remaining the largest exporter to Russia, exporting 0.11 MnT in Sep’17, while South Africa exported 0.09 MnT.
