Brazil Pig Iron Export Down by 13% in Sept’16

Brazil, the world’s second-largest Pig iron exporter, has exported 0.20 MnT Pig iron in Sept’16 according to trade statistics released by Brazilian customs.

Brazilian Pig iron exports have registered a downfall of 13% M-o-M in Sept’16 against 0.23 MnT in Aug’16. On similar lines, exports fall by 46% Y-o-Y against 0.37 MnT in Sept’15.

In the first nine months of 2016, the country exported 1.69 MnT Pig iron, down by 20% as compared to 2.11 MnT in the same time period prior this year. brazil-pig-iron-exports-in-sept16

Country’s Pig iron exports majorly directed to USA, Netherlands, Peru, Mexico, Thailand etc. In Sept’16, the country exports Pig iron only to USA and Mexico. Pig iron exports to USA was recorded at 0.13 MnT and Mexico 0.07 MnT.
