Turkey scrap prices likely to remain under pressure — Mr. Ahmet Kunt from Colakoglu Metalurji, Turkey highlighted about the slowdown in steel consumption domestically and finish steel exports on trade issues also Turkish steel scrap prices are likely to remain under pressure.
Japanese scrap exports to observe headwinds in the near future — Mr. Arshadeep Singh, Director-Vital Solutions, Singapore highlighted that nearing Olympic 2020 construction activities have pulled finish steel demand down in China on the other hand, the trade dispute with South Korea is intensifying further which may lead to diverting the scrap flow to others East Asian countries.
