Vedanta to acquire Athena Chhattisgarh Power, a 1200 MW coal-based power plant located at Jhanjgir Champa district in Chhattisgarh. The plant has two units of 600 MW each, which are under construction. The acquisition will cost Vedanta about INR 564.67 crore and is estimated to be completed by the end of FY 2023.
