Turkey’s imported scrap prices have risen due to shortage of scrap after a recently-concluded deal. A US-origin cargo comprising a total of 45,000 t of HMS (80:20) was sold at $402/t, while shredded and bonus were booked at $422/t CFR Turkey. The cargo, scheduled for Sept’22 shipment, was booked by a West Marmara-based steel mill.
