Turkey: Deep-sea scrap imports remain limited
The Turkish deep-sea scrap import market has remained less active, w-o-w, with mills holding back bookings on bearish market sentiments and a sharp depreciation in the Turkish Lira. A USA-origin cargo containing HMS 1&2 (80:20) was booked at $492/t CFR Turkey. The Turkish currency hit an all-time low of 13.3 against the USD yesterday.
