Turkey: Steel mills active in imported scrap bookings

Imported scrap prices in the world’s leading seaborne scrap consumer, Turkey, remain supported in a deal heard recently by SteelMint. A US-origin scrap cargo comprising HMS 1&2 (80:20) was booked at $459.5/t CFR. Shredded scrap at $480/t CFR was booked by a steel mill based in the West-Marmara region in Turkey.
