Japan: Tokyo Steel raises scrap purchase prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Okayama plant

Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the third time this month, effective 27 Sep’25. In this latest round, the company increased prices by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Okayama plant, while rates at the other facilities remained stable. Post-revision, H2 scrap prices at Okayama were at JPY 40,500/t ($271/t).
