Sponge iron prices in Raipur and Raigarh region increased by up to INR 1,000/t this week on active buying by Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) from the merchant market. SteelMint learned that JSPL’s two sponge iron kilns have undergone maintenance since last week.
