South Korea: Major mills raise purchase prices for domestic scrap
South Korean steel mills have lifted purchase prices for all grades of steel scrap by KRW 10,000/t ($8/t) effective 10 Mar’22, as per SteelDaily reports. Hyundai Steel’s Incheon, Pohang and Dangjin factories raised prices for all grades. Dongkuk Steel’s Incheon plant increased prices, while the Pohang works raised prices for all grades except saengcheol.
