South Africa’s thermal coal exports dropped by 10% m-o-m to 4.75 mnt in May 2024, as per data maintained with BigMint. Exports fell due to a train derailment that happened in mid May which resulted in supply issues. South African thermal coal exports to India stood at 2.19 mnt in May, down 16% m-o-m.
