Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market climbed up by INR 200/t on 19 Mar’25, as per BigMint’s analysis. Prices of HMS (80:20) stood at INR 33,800/t ($391/t) ex-yard. While semi-finished steel prices remained steady in the last trading session, decent deal momentum and increased demand for scrap prompted sellers to hike their offers.
