China: Shagang Steel cuts scrap buy prices by $8/t
China’s Shagang Jiangsu Steel has lowered scrap purchase prices by RMB 50/t ($8/t) for all grades, effective 6 Jul’22. After the revision, prices of HMS (6-10mm) are at RMB 3,300/t ($492/t) delivered to headquarters, including 13% VAT. The company has trimmed scrap procurement prices amid lower finished steel prices, sources informed.
