India: SAIL to auction 36,000t iron ore fines from Karnataka

Steel Authority of India Ltd Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Limited (VISL), Karnataka has scheduled an iron ore sales auction on 3rd Dec’20 for 36,000 t fines (Fe 60-61%). In Sept’19, the Indian government allowed SAIL to sell 25% of its total annual iron ore production in the merchant market, to ensure sufficient supplies.
