Russian low vol PCI sold at $200/t to China
In a confirmed deal, 45,000 t of Russia-origin low volatile PCI was sold at $200/t CFR China on 29 June’22 for mid-July laycan. China is buying cheaper coal from Russia under Yuan-Ruble payment system. Australian PCI coal prices are currently assessed at $293/t FOB Hay Point basis.
