In Jul’24, the RMDAS ferrous scrap index, indicating spot market prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, witnessed a mixed trend. The index recorded the following prices: Shredded scrap remained stable at $379/t. Prompt industrial composite scrap declined by $5/t, settling at $393/t. The HMS index increased by $3/t, reaching $321/t.
