    China’s power consumption went up 13% y-o-y to 672.4 TWh in May’21, mainly due to a stable domestic economy. The consumption figure is 19% higher than the same period in 2019. During Jan-May’21, China’s total power use rose by 18% y-o-y to 3,230.5 TWh, owing to a rebound in economic activities and higher-than-usual temperatures.
