India: SAIL adjusts hot-rolled plate prices for early May

PSU steel major SAIL has announced that it is adjusting hot-rolled plate (5-10mm, E250) prices at INR 76,000-77,000/t ($989-1,002/t) for early-May’22 sales. The price has been set on exy Mumbai basis, excluding GST at 18%. Slow domestic demand amid high prices and softening of plate prices globally are the key factors behind this adjustment.
