India’s PCI coal imports increased by 25% m-o-m to 1.1 mnt in June. PCI coal is used together with coke to produce steel. Imports from Russia stood at 0.24 mnt, higher by 74% higher m-o-m because of its discounted rates. Imports from Australia decreased by 14% m-o-m.
