Pakistan, South Asia’s major ferrous scrap buyer, imported 214,435 t in Sep’22 as against 279,485 t in Aug’22, down significantly by 23% m-o-m, as per customs data. Import volumes in Jan-Sep’22 totalled 2.32 mnt, falling by 20% as compared to the corresponding period last year.
