India: Bids surge m-o-m at OMC’s chrome ore auction
At OMC’s chrome ore auction today, 79,600 t were sold of the 80,100 t offered. Bids surged by 6-45% (INR 550-8,809/t) as compared to the previous auction. Bids also increased by 3-26% (INR 700-5,900/t) against base prices. The hike in bids is likely due to the recent surge in ferro chrome prices amid tight supply.
