Japan: Kansai region scrap prices rise by JPY 1,000/t

Scrap purchase prices in Japan’s Kansai region rose further by JPY 1,000/t to JPY 49,500-50,500/t, as per Steel Daily reports. Rising export prices and a depreciating Yen resulted in the hike in prices. Although prices are increasing, transactions volume have not decreased, with companies maintaining regular stocks at yards.
