India: JSW’s iron ore auction receives poor response

JSW Steel conducted an auction for sale of 233,050 t of iron ore fines (Fe55-58%) from the Jajang mines in Odisha on 15 Nov’22. According to market sources, the auction received poor response as only 7,900 t of fines was sold at the base price of INR 1,200/t (including royalty, DMF, and NMET charges).
