India: JSW iron ore lumps’ auction from Odisha fetches poor response

JSW Steel Ltd conducted an auction for the sale of around 420,000 tonnes of iron ore lumps from Nuagaon, Narayanposhi, and Gonua mines in Odisha on 24 Feb’23. According to sources, only 27,650 t of lumps (screened 10-40 mm, Fe62%) sold at the floor price of INR 6,700/t. Price included royalty, DMF, and NMET charges.
