Japanese stainless steel flat product exports rise 10% m-o-m in Aug’24

Japanese exports of stainless steel flat products saw a 10% increase in shipments in Aug’24 to 37,723 t from 34,274 t in the previous month. Imports rose parallelly, by around 17% reaching 22,890 t. Intense competition from imported materials in the domestic market prompted mills to enhance their overseas presence.
