Japan: Tokyo Steel cuts ferrous scrap buy prices by up to $13/t

Japan’s major EAF steelmaker, Tokyo Steel, has lowered ferrous scrap procurement prices by up to JPY 1,500/t ($13/t) for all plants, effective 25 Mar’23. After the revision, prices for H2 scrap stand at JPY 54,000/t ($415/t), delivered to the Tahara, Utsunomiya, and Okayama plants.
