India’s iron ore production edged up marginally on the year to over 135 million tonnes (mnt) in April-September 2025 (H1FY’26) after declining 2% in the first five months of the ongoing fiscal, as per provisional data with BigMint. The slight y-o-y uptick can be largely attributed to strong performance by leading miners, particularly NMDC.
