India’s HDGI Exports Rise by 145% in FY’22

India’s hot dipped galvanised iron (HDGI) exports spiralled up by a whopping 145% to 1.95 million tonnes (mnt) in financial year 2021-22 (FY22) against 0.80 mnt seen in FY21, as per SteelMint’s data. This stupendous rise was driven by procurement from European Union (EU) countries, mainly Belgium, Italy, the UK, Poland and Spain.
