    India’s exports of steel wire rods recorded a phenomenal growth of 138% y-o-y in calendar year 2021 (CY’21) compared to CY’20. Neighbouring Nepal remained the leading market for wire rods exports. Exports to the Himalayan Kingdom rose to 256,232 t in CY’21 compared with 220,000 t in CY’20 – an increase of 16% y-o-y.
