    Melting scrap prices rose by around INR 2,300/t today especially in the western region on supportive sponge iron and semi-finished steel prices amidst limited scrap offers. However, other locations also saw positive trends on the back of improved finished steel movement. Scrap prices in the near term may remain supported, trader sources informed SteelMint.
