India’s bulk ferrous scrap imports hit all-time high level with 454,078 t in Nov’22. The volumes increased by 35% m-o-m compared to 336,644 t in Oct’22. Lower bulk scrap prices compared to container pricing and a shortage of scrap in the local market were noticed. Major exporters were the UK and the US.
