Japan: Ferro silicon imports rise by 20% m-o-m in Aug’22

Japan’s ferro silicon imports increased by 20% m-o-m to 41,540 t in Aug’22 from 34,681 t in July. Russia was the major exporter at 11,692 t followed by Malaysia at 10,603 t and China at 10,359 t. Cumulative import volumes increased by 5% to 298,247 t in Jan-Aug’22 compared to the same period last year.
