India: HR plate prices remain flat, w-o-w, as trade momentum slows

Domestic trade-level prices of HR plate (E250, 5-10 mm) are at INR 63,500-64,500/t ($859-873/t) exy-Mumbai. Prices exclude GST at 18%. Demand in the traders’ market continues to remain slow amid need-based procurement. However, Chinese heavy plate (SS400) export prices declined to $775-785/t on FOB basis from the previous week’s $770-795/t.
