China: HBIS reduces Jul’24 ferro silicon bid prices by RMB 550/t ($76/t)

China’s Hebei Iron and Steel (HBIS) has reduced its ferro silicon bid prices for July by RMB 550/t ($76/t) m-o-m to RMB 7,000/t ($963/t). However, bidding volume rose by 429 t m-o-m to 2,629 t. Sources informed that this significant price reduction is due to lower profits of steel manufacturers amid declining finished steel prices.
