South Korea: POSCO to cut 300 series stainless steel prices for Aug’24

POSCO will reduce the price of 300 series stainless steel by KRW 100,000/t ($73/t) in August due to falling nickel prices. The LME nickel price dropped from the low $17,000/t levels to the late $15,000/t levels in July, prompting similar price adjustments by major stainless steel producers in Europe and the U.S.
