In Oct’24, the RMDAS ferrous scrap index, indicating spot market prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, witnessed a positive trend. The index recorded the following price adjustments: Shredded increased by $11/t to $385/t. Prompt industrial composite scrap rose by $12/t to $406/t. The HMS index moved up by $7/t to $333/t.
