China: Billet prices fall by $4/t amid sluggish demand, lower input costs

Billet prices slipped RMB 30/t ($4/t) from last close (10 Oct’25) to RMB 2,940/t ($412/t), while SHFE Jan’26 rebar edged down RMB 20/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,083/t ($432/t). Following the Golden Week holidays, demand slowed, and exports remained subdued amid trade concerns. Falling raw material costs also pressured both semi-finished and finished steel markets.
