Canada: First Quantum to expand copper project in Zambia
Canadian miner First Quantum Minerals (FQM) has approved a $1.25 billion project to expand the Kansanshi copper mine in Zambia. FQM has also approved a further $100 million investment in its enterprise’s nickel project in Zambia, which is expected to be functional in 2023, ramping up to annual production of 30,000 t of nickel concentrates.
