    China: Domestic billet prices stable, re-bar futures fall

    Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 5,170/t ($800/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, on 3 Aug’21. Overall billet trading remained weak. According to data maintained with SteelMint, Chinese re-bar futures contract for Oct delivery was settled today at RMB 5,247/t ($811/t), witnessing a d-o-d decline of RMB 167/t ($26/t).
