China’s met coke production decreased by 3% y-o-y to 39.1 mnt in Aug’22. However, on a m-o-m basis, the volumes remained largely unchanged. China’s domestic steel demand continues to remain sluggish, impacting its coke demand. Hebei’s Tangshan met coke prices stood at RMB 2,700/t ($390/t) as on 16 Sep’22.
