    According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China’s metallurgical coke production fell by 6% y-o-y, hitting 39.37 mnt in Mar’24 compared to 41.78 mnt in Mar’23. From Jan-Mar’24, coke production totalled 119.89 mnt, marking a 0.5% y-o-y decline. Meanwhile, met coke prices in Hebei’s Tangshan were assessed at RMB 1,660/t ($229/t).
