    China: Steel billets prices fall by RMB 50/t ($7/t) d-o-d

    Domestic billets prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 50/t ($7/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,690/t ($528/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, on 13 Dec’22. Weak demand prevailing in the domestic market has pulled down billets prices, SteelMint notes. However, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,937/t ($564/t), largely stable d-o-d.
