Colombia: Road blockade affects Cerrejon coal output
A week-long road blockade at Colombia’s Cerrejon coal mine continues to affect its monthly output, lowering its production by 70%. The mining giant has announced to suspend some service contracts if the situation is prolonged. Cerrejon produced 23.4 mnt of coal in 2021, and was fully bought by global mining and trading giant Glencore.
