India: Sponge iron prices fall slightly in Bellary, Karnataka

Around 400 t of pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) deals were confirmed at INR 34,500-34,600/t against offers at INR 34,700/t exw in Bellary, Karnataka today. Around 950 t of iron ore-based DRI (CDRI) deals were reported at INR 34,800-35,000/t ($466-469/t) exw. A sharp decline in trade volumes was seen today due to weak buying interest.
