    Bangladesh: Coal imports plunge nearly 70% in April

    Amid elevated imported coal prices, Bangladesh’s coal imports plunged 69% m-o-m to 0.3 mnt in Apr’22, CoalMint data shows. Shipments from Indonesia fell sharply by 71% m-o-m to 0.26 mnt, while those from Malaysia were at 55,000 t. There were no shipments from South Africa and Australia surrounding logistics woes and adverse weather conditions.
