India: Portside price of Australian 5500 NAR coal falls at Gangavaram

In a confirmed deal, 6,000 t of Australian 5500 NAR grade coal was sold at INR 17,700/t ex-Gangavaram against the last traded price of INR 18,500/t. Owing to its comparatively cheaper price against similar grades of Indonesian and South African coal, several cement manufacturers have been opting for Australian coal, informed market participants.
