India: Maharashtra-based Uttam Galva Metallics commissions new blast furnace
Uttam Galva Metallics Limited has commissioned a new blast furnace with a melting capacity of 700,000 t per annum at Wardha Steel Complex, Maharashtra. With this new furnace, the company’s total production capacity has increased to over 1.5 mntpa. However, the previous blast furnace has been taken down for refurbishment and capacity enhancement.
