India: Sponge iron prices rebound, trades improve in Odisha
SteelMint’s assessment for iron ore-based DRI (C-DRI, 70% lumps & 30% fines) stands at INR 31,750/t ($427/t) exw-Rourkela on 30 Dec’21, up by INR 250/t. About 1,900 t of deals were confirmed at INR 31,500-31,800/t exw. Prices rebounded following an increase in billet offers by INR 250/t, do-d, while demand continues to remain subdued.
